Oriet Cohen-Supple

Oriet Cohen-Supple was admitted to practice in Israel since 1986 and in California since 2000.  In Israel, Oriet’s practice focused on corporate, real estate and banking transactions, and compliance counseling, as well as the litigation of commercial disputes for clients in the entertainment and sport industries including anti-piracy litigation matters.  In California, Oriet’s practice has been divided between advice and counsel and litigation.

On the litigation side, Oriet specializes in employment and complex business litigation filed in state and federal courts, and in arbitration tribunals (FINRA, AAA and JAMS).  She has a further focus on employee mobility cases which include claims for unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets (both technical and non-technical), and breach of employment and business contracts in a variety of settings.  Oriet also represents employers in defending or prosecuting against claims of breach of employment contracts, nondisclosure agreements, and invention-assignment agreements.  She has defended employers against claims of violation of wage and hour laws, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, as well as business torts, such as business fraud, defamation and libel claims, and employee raiding.

As a trusted advisor, Oriet counsels clients in litigation prevention and compliance matters in pre-litigation business and employment disputes, and provides strategic legal and business advice and risk management counseling to corporate executives and senior management on a wide range of regulatory, corporate, and litigation risks arising out of state and federal business and employment laws.

"Oriet is a focused, determined, and dedicated lawyer, committed to achieving the best results for the numerous clients I have referred to her in the past 17 years. She has an excellent knowledge of the law, and believes in meticulous preparation of her cases. This trait is evident in every communication and complements Oriet’s accessibility and genuine concern for the client’s business and how it is impacted by litigation. When you mix in her rapid response style, Oriet is great to work with and an excellent choice for my firm’s legal needs in the U.S."
